John Graziano, the passenger in the car Nick Hogan was driving when they crashed into a palm tree, has been scheduled for reconstructive surgery by his doctors. Although he is still unconscious, doctors feel it will be ok to perform the surgery as scheduled.
Former US Marine Graziano will undergo reconstructive cranialplasty surgery. The surgery will be used to reconstruct the portion of the skull that doctors removed following the crash to relieve some of the pressure that was placed on his brain due to swelling. The missing portion of the skull will be replaced with acrylic bone.
Although Graziano is said to be improving, he will require medical care for the remainder of his life. Nick Hogan, sent to jail partly due to Graziano’s injuries, is currently serving his 8 month sentence.
